Two young singers from the West coast of Mexico are revitalising classic boleros including ‘Sabor a mi’ which had been translated into 26 languages but only now into Amuzgo Indian, one of the native languages from the region where the original composer, Álvaro Carrillo, came from. Las Hermanas García invite their father, Mariano, who is Amuzgo Indian, to accompany them on this song; he explains the challenges of translating boleros into his native tongue.
